GCRA leader pays homage to Most Venerable Kim Sa Rinh

Vice Chairman of the Government Committee for Religious Affairs Trần Tấn Hùng led a delegation on June 20 to express condolences to Most Venerable Member of the Vietnam Buddhist Sangha’s (VBS) Discernment Council Kim Sa Rinh at his funeral held at Gia Kiet pagoda in Vinh Long province’s Tra On district.

Most Venerable Kim Sa Rinh, who was also Honorary President of the Association for Solidarity of Patriotic Buddhist monks in the province cum Abbot of Gia Kiet pagoda, has made practical contributions to unity and development of Vietnam Buddhism in general and Khmer Theravada Buddhism in particular, as well as to the cause of national construction and defense in the country.

Most Venerable Kim Sa Rinh passed away at 6.30 am on June 18 at the age of 85 due to old age and poor health.
