On May 29, 2014, at the Northern Office of the Vietnam Buddhist Sangha (VBS) (Quan Su pagoda, Ha Noi), Vice Chairman of the Government Committee for Religious Affairs (GCRA) Dương Ngọc Tấn led a delegation to visit and congratulate the VBS on the occasion of the Buddha’s Birthday 2015( B.E 2559).
Joining the meeting were officials from the Department of Buddhist Affairs under the GCRA.
Most Venerable Vice Chairmen of the VBS Executive Counicl Thích Thanh Nhiễu and Thích Gia Quang welcomed the delegation.
Speaking during the visiting reception, Vice Chairman of the GCRA Dương Ngọc Tấn extended best wishes to VBS’s dignitaries as well as Buddhist monks, nuns and followers inside and outside the country on the occasion of the Buddha’s Birthday festival. He also highly praised great contributions made by the VBS over the past years and expressed his hope that the Buddhist Church would continue to stay closely attached to and accompany with the nation and make further contributions to the cause of the building peace and prosperity in the country
