On May 19, Chief Executive Vice Chairman of the Government Committee for Religious Affairs (GCRA) Bùi Thanh Hà led a delegation to visit dignitaries of the Vietnam Buddhist Sangha (VBS) at Quan Su Pagoda in Hanoi on occasion of the Buddha’s Birthday Festival 2016 (B.E. 2560).
Joining the delegation were Director of Buddhist Affairs Department Bùi Hữu Dược, Acting Director of Organization and Personnel Department Trần Thị Minh Nga and Deputy Chief of the GCRA’s Office Nguyễn Văn Long.
Most Venerable Vice Chairmen of the VBS Executive Counicl Thích Thanh Nhiễu and Thích Gia Quang and Venerable General Secretary of VBS Executive Council Thích Đức Thiện welcomed the delegation.
At during the visiting reception, Chief Executive Vice Chairman Bùi Thanh Hà extended best wishes to VBS’s dignitaries as well as Buddhist monks, nuns and followers inside and outside the country on occasion of the Buddha’s Birthday Festival 2016. He also highly praised the VBS for their great contributions in social and charitable activities in recent years.
