Chief Executive Vice Chairman Bùi Thanh Hà led a delegation of the Government Committee for Religious Affairs (GCRA) to visit on January 17 the Vietnam Buddhist Sangha (VBS)’s Executive Council in Hanoi city’s Quan Su Pagoda, ahead of the traditional New Year (Tet) festival.
Joining with the delegation included Chief of GCRA’s Office Dương Văn Khá and representatives of the Department of Buddhist Affairs under the GCRA.
The GCRA delegation was welcomed by Most Venerable Standing-Vice President of the VBS’s Executive Council Thích Thanh Nhiễu, Most Venerable Vice President of the VBS’s Executive Council cum Director of the VBS’s Information and Communications Committee Thích Gia Quang and members of the VBS’s Executive Council.
During the visiting reception, Mr. Bùi Thanh Hà extended Tet wishes to the Buddhist dignitaries and followers. He also praised the Buddhist Sangha for its practical contributions in social-charitable activities throughout the country, contributing to build a prosperous and peaceful country of Vietnam.
