GCRA leader extends congratulation to religious newspapers in HCMC on occasion of Press Day

On June 20, Vice Chairman of the Government Committee for Religious Affairs (GCRA) Trần Tấn Hùng led a delegation to visit Buddhist and Catholic media in Ho Chi Minh City (HCMC) on occasion of 92nd anniversary of the Vietnam’s Revolutionary Press (June 21).

During the visit, the delegation met with Most Venerable Deputy Patriarch of the Vietnam Buddhist Sangha (VBS), Chairman of the VBS’s Chapter in HCMC cum Editor of the Giac Ngo Newspaper (Enlightenment Newspaper) Thích Trí Quảng, and Priest Vice Chairman of the Committee for Solidarity of Vietnamese Catholics (CSVC), Head of the CSVC in the city cum Editor of the Catholicism and Nation Newspaper Peter Phan Khắc Từ.

Speaking at the visiting receptions, while extending congratulatory greetings to editors and journalists of the religious media on occasion of the Vietnam Press Day, Vice Chairman Trần Tấn Hùng praised contributions of the newspapers to the information and communication on belief and religion in general, and dissemination of fine traditional values of Buddhism and Catholicism in particular.
