
GCRA leader attends conference on six-month mass mobilization work in ethnic and religious regions of Central Highlands

Vice Chairman of the Government Committee for Religious Affairs (GCRA) Trần Tấn Hùng attended on May 30 a conference reviewing the mass mobilization work in ethnic and religious regions of the Central Highlands in the first six month.
The event was held in Dak Lak province by the Central Party Committee’s Commission on Mass Mobilization in collaboration with the Steering Committee for the Central Highlands.
Attending the reviewing conference included representative leaders of the central Commission on Mass Mobilization and the Steering Committee for the Central High Lands, representatives of the mass mobilization committee from 17 provinces and cities of Central Vietnam, and large numbers of officials representing central agencies and Dak Lak provincial authorities.

The conference focused on updating the current ethnic and religious situation in Central Vietnam, sharing working experiences, and recommending implementing measures and amendments to some policies on the mass mobilization work for meeting practical requirements in localities.
In his report presented at the event, GCRA’s Vice Chairman Trần Tấn Hùng stated that religious organizations in Vietnam Central in general, and the Central Highlands in particular, have proactively engaged in many social, charitable activities, contributing to social stability in localities.
