Vice Chairman of the Government Committee for Religious Affairs Trần Tấn Hùng attended a ceremony to celebrate 40th anniversary of the Buddhist Enlightenment Magazine (January 1, 1976 – January 1, 2016).
Attending the ceremony were Most Venerable Editor of the magazine Thích Trí Quảng and large numbers of Buddhist dignitaries and followers.
Distinguished guests at the event also included Chairwoman of the city Party Committee's Commission for Mass Mobilization Nguyễn Thị Lệ.
At the event, Most Venerable Thích Trí Quảng Vice Chairman of the Vietnam Buddhist Sangha Executive Council highlighted the historical development and contributions of the Buddhist magazine – a communication channel of the Vietnam Buddhist Sangha in the 40 years period.
On this occasion, Vice Chairman of the Government Committee for Religious Afairs Trần Tấn Hùng presented congratulatory flowers to the magazine and Chairwoman Nguyễn Thị Lệ praised the magazine for its contributions to promotion of fine Buddhist cultural values and socio-economic development in the country.
