A delegation from the Government Committee for Religious Affairs (GCRA) led by Vice Chairman Trần Tấn Hùng inspected the implementation of the State’s policies and laws on belief and religion in Kien Giang province from November 21 to 25.
During the working visit, the delegation had meetings with the provincial People’s Committee, Department of Internal Affairs, and local authorities of Rach Gia city, Ha Tien Town and Kien Luong district to check the observance of laws relating to belief and religion. The delegation also visited several religious establishments in the locality.
Kien Giang, a southwestern border province, is home to large numbers of Kinh, Khmer and Hoa people with 50.000 followers of religions and more than 300 religious establishments.
