The Government Committee for Religious Affairs (GCRA) sent a delegation to inspect the implementation of the State’s policies and laws on belief and religion in Thai Binh province from June 26 to 28.
The delegation had meetings with the provincial People’s Committee, the provincial Committee for Religious Affairs under the Home Affairs Department and Tien Hai district’s authorities, and visited several religious establishments in the locality.
During the meetings, the delegation heard reports on the implementation of the State’s policies and laws on belief and religion in the province. The delegation also discussed with representatives of Thai Binh provincial Vietnam Buddhist Sangha’s Executive Committee on advantages and disadvantages in implementation of the State’s laws on belief and religion by local religious organizations and individuals.
On behalf of the delegation, Director of the GCRA’s Department of Legislation and Inspection Nguyễn Khắc Huy urged the provincial authorities to keep on the good works that brought fruitful results in the State administration on religious affairs, in order to ensure the freedom on belief and religion for people, as well as enhance efficiency of the State management on religion.
