The Government Committee for Religious Affairs (GCRA) held on January 13 a conference for reviewing its performance 2021 and mapping out plans for 2022.

The conference co-chaired by Chairman of the GCRA Vũ Hoài Bắc and Vice Chairpersons Trần Thị Minh Nga, Nguyễn Ánh Chức and Nguyễn Tiến Trọng saw the presence of Deputy Minister of Home Affairs Vũ Chiến Thắng, representatives from central sectors and agencies, and heads of the GCRA’s departments and divisions.
At the conference, Vice Chairwoman Trần Thị Minh Nga presented a draft report on the GCRA’s performances in 2021, highlighting results of the GCRA’s affairs in policy recommendation, promulgation of legal documents on state management of belief and religion, dissemination of the Party's guidelines and the State's policies on belief and religion, implementation of the State’s policies and laws on belief and religion, protection of freedom of worship, inspection and handling of violations of the law on belief and religion, as well as outlining key tasks in 2022.

Addressing the event, Deputy Minister Vũ Chiến Thắng praised efforts and achievements of the GCRA in 2021, contributing to normal practices of belief and religion in the country and creating favorable conditions for religious organizations to practically join the Covid-19 epidemic prevention.
The Deputy Minister also called on the GCRA’s cadres, servants and employees to continue promoting fine traditions for successfully fulfilling the assigned tasks set for 2022.

During the event, the GCRA’s Catholic Affairs Department was presented with certificates of recommendation by the Prime Minister, and the GCRA and its Caodai Affairs Department were presented with emulation flags by the Home Affairs Ministry for their outstanding contributions in the state governance on belief and religion in 2021.
