GCRA holds workshop for key Protestants from provinces of Dong Nai, Ba Ria - Vung Tau and Ho Chi Minh City

On July 14-16 the Government Committee for Religious affairs held a training workshop for key Protestants of unrecognized Protestant churches and congregations in provinces of Dong Nai, Ba Ria – Vung Tau and Ho Chi Minh city.
Attending the event included Chief of the GCRA’s Office Dương Văn Khá, Acting Director of Protestant Affairs Department Thiều Thị Hương on guiding Protestant activities, representatives from the provincial-level religious committee and about 200 dignitaries and deacons who are leaders of unrecognized Protestant churches and congregations from the three localities.
Speaking at the workshop’s opening ceremony, Acting Director of Protestant Affairs Department Thiều Thị Hương praised Protestant leaders for encouraging Protestant followers to make proactive contributions to socio-economic development in localities and the country.
The workshop’s contents focused on introduction of state policies and laws on religion and national unity, guidance for conducting religious activities, as well as discussion of practical issue relating to Protestant practices in localities.
