GCRA holds training on religious affairs and professional skills for communication on belief and religion

The Government Committee for Religious Affairs (GCRA) in collaboration with the People’s Committee in Hai Phong City held on August 4-5 a training conference on belief and religious affairs and professional skills on information and propaganda the State’s policies and laws on belief and religion.

The opening ceremony of the event saw the presence of Vice Chairwoman of the GCRA Trần Thị Minh Nga, Deputy Director of Hai Phong municipal Home Affairs department Đào Duy Phương, Chairman of the municipal Committee for Religious Affairs Dương Ngọc Anh, and 180 participants who are cadres tasked with religious affairs and staff of press agencies in the city.

During the two-day training, Vice Chairwoman Trần Thị Minh Nga presented the Party’s guidelines and the State’s policies on belief and religion, and the belief and religious life in the country; Deputy Chief of the GCRA’s Office Lê Trung Kiên presented professional skills in accessing and processing information relating to belief and religion; Director of the GCRA’s Belief and Other Religions Department Trần Thị Minh Thu presented belief and the State administration on belief, and identified heresies and deviant faiths in the country; and Director of the GCRA’s Catholic Affairs Department Đinh Quang Tiến presented Catholicism and the State administration on Catholicism.

According to Vice Chairwoman Trần Thị Minh Nga, the training conference aimed to enhance knowledge of cadres tasked with belief and religious affairs and staff working on information and propagation of policies and laws on belief and religion in the locality, as well as the Party's guidelines and the State's policies and laws on belief and religion.
