The Government Committee for Religious Affairs (GCRA) held on October 16-17 a training on the implementation of laws on folk beliefs in Bac Giang province.
Present at the opening ceremony of the training included Director of the GCRA’s Belief and Other Religions’ Affairs Trần Thị Minh Thu, Deputy Director of the Home Affairs Department in Bac Giang Trần Văn Đông, Vice Chairman of the provincial Religious Affairs Committee Vũ Đình Đức, and nearly 300 cadres tasked with belief affairs and representatives of the management board of worshipping places in the province.
During the two-day training, Director Trần Thị Minh Thu delivered topics on state policies and laws on belief and the guidance for belief practices in accordance with the Law on Belief and Religion 2016; and Deputy Head of the Cultural Heritage Department under the Culture, Sports and Tourism Ministry Trần Đình Thành presented key contents of the Law on Cultural Heritage and related legal documents, and instructions for the state management on belief festivals.
The training drew 15 comments for discussions and exchanges, and provided explanations of several for solving practical issues relating belief practices in the locality.
