GCRA holds seminar on ten-year implementation of laws on belief, religion

Attending the event held with the theme “Implementation of the State policies and laws on belief and religion: Ten-year introspection” included Vice Chairman of the GCRA Dương Ngọc Tấn, Vice Chairman of Long An provincial People’s Committee Lê Tấn Dũng, and representatives of the religious affairs committee from 26 Southern provinces and cities.

During the event, participating delegates reviewed the State administration on religious affairs since the Ordinance on Belief and Religion came into effect in 2004, and pointed out its shortcomings and remaining issues.

The seminar' comments affirmed that Vietnam religion will further develop and impact on aspects of life in the country, and proposed several solutions for enhancing efficiency and effectiveness of the State governance on religious affair, with focuses on improving the current system of laws on belief and religion, strengthening coordination in the political system, further decentralizing the State management and effectively solving issues relating to religious land.
