The Government Committee for Religious Affairs (GCRA) held on May 11 a seminar to gather comments on the drafting of administrative procedures of the passed Law on Belief and Religion.
The event was chaired by Vice Chairman of the GCRA Dương Ngọc Tấn and attended by and representatives from the Administrative Procedure Control Agency under the Government Office, the Legislation and Inspection Department under the Ministry of Home Affairs and the GCRA’s departments and units.
The Law on Belief and Religion to take effect on January 1, 2018, has 88 administrative procedures under the jurisdiction of five agencies, including the state administration on belief and religious affairs (Ministry of Home Affairs); the province-level people’s committee; the provincial body on belief and religious affairs; the district-level people's committee and commune-level people's committee.
The seminar focused on main 8 contents administrative procedures including names, proceeding steps, methods, compositions, numbers of dossiers, deadlines for reply, subjects of applicants, competent authorities and results of administrative procedures.
Concluding the event, Vice Chairman Dương Ngọc Tấn assigned the GCRA’s Legislation and Inspection Department to complete the draft of administrative procedures and submit it to the Minister of Home Affairs.
