The Government Committee for Religious Affairs (GCRA) held on February 3 a seminar on the implementation of the Article 40 specified in the new Law on Belief and Religion.
The conference was chaired by Vice Chairman of the GCRA Bùi Thanh Hà and attended by Vice Chairman Dương Ngọc Tấn and representatives from GCRA’s departments and divisions.
As stipulated in the Article 40 of the Law on Belief and Religion, the State management agency in charge of belief and religion at the central level (the Ministry of Home Affairs) is responsible for coordinating with the Ministry of Education and Training, the Ministry of Justice and concerning agencies to guide the educational program of subjects on the Vietnam history and law.
During the event, participating officials commented on contents and numbers of credits at all levels of education for the two subjects taught in religious training institutions.

Addressing the conference, Vice Chairman Bùi Thanh Hà called on the Legislation and Inspection Department under the GCRA to speed up the progress of the implementation plan and ensuring training quality of the two subjects in accordance with the provisions of the Education Law and the Law on Belief and Religion.
