GCRA holds review meeting on handling of letters, complaints, denunciations

The Government Committee for Religious Affairs (GCRA) held on July 9 a meeting for reviewing results in handling letters, complaints, denunciations, and petitions in the first six months of 2021.  

The meeting was chaired by Vice Chairman of the GCRA Nguyễn Ánh Chức and joint by Vice Chairwoman of the GCRA Trần Thị Minh Nga and representatives of GCRA’s departments and divisions.

As reported, in the first six months 2021, the GCRA has received 43 letters of complaints and denunciations, and five visiting groups.

According to Plan No 793 dated on June 29, 2021, the GCRA’s Legislation and Inspection Department has proposed steps of the complaint and denunciation settlement procedure, including classification; initial verification; handling in accordance with GCRA’s functions, tasks and authority; issuance of reply.

The meeting received comments on practical issues relating handling letters and suggested adjustments and changes of the complaint and denunciation settlement procedure.

Speaking at the meeting, Vice Chairman Nguyễn Ánh Chức asked the GCRA’s Committee Office to receive letters of complaints and denunciations, and the GCRA’s Legislation and Inspection Department to classify these letters before sending GCRA’s departments and units, and concerning agencies. The vice chairman requested the organization of a training on the Law on Complaints and Denunciations, as well as asked the GCRA’s legislation and inspection department to propose plans, schedules and coordination for receive visiting citizens, and publicly post the basic contents of the Law on Complaints and Denunciations, regulations and schedules for citizen reception in the reception room, according to the decree No. 64 Detailing a number of articles of the Law on Reception of Citizens.
