The Government Committee for Religious Affairs (GCRA) held on May 13 a conference disseminating and guiding the implementation of policies and laws on environmental protection and climate change response for key members of religious organizations in Khanh Hoa province.

The event saw the presence of Chief of the GCRA’s Office Nguyễn Văn Long, representatives of the General Department of Environment under the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment, the provincial Department of Natural Resources and Environment and the provincial Committee for Religious Affairs, and about 250 dignitaries, deacons and lay followers of religion in the province.
During the one-day conference, Chief of the GCRA’s Office Nguyễn Văn Long presented contents of the Party’s guidelines and the State’s policies and laws on belief and religion; Deputy Chief of the Environment General Department Đặng Quốc Thắng presented laws on environmental protection; Director of provincial Environmental Protection Sub-Department Nguyễn Thị Nguyệt Hà presented key contents of environmental protection and climate change response amongst religious communities, and Deputy Head of the Minerals, Water, Hydrometeorology and Climate Change Division under the provincial Department of Natural Resources and Environment Hoàng Anh Hào delivered results of environmental protection in the province during 2016-2020 period, and guided natural disasters responses.
