GCRA extends Tet visits to VBS’s executive committees in Hai Phong, Nam Dinh

A delegation led by Vice Chairwoman of the Government Committee for Religious Affairs Trần Thị Minh Nga paid on January 25 visits to the Vietnam Buddhist Sangha (VBS) chapters in Nam Dinh province and Hai Phong city on occasion of Lunar New Year (Tet) 2024.

The GCRA delegation was welcomed by Most Venerable Thích Quảng Hà, Chairman of the VBS’s executive committee in Nam Dinh province, and Most Venerable Thích Quảng Tùng, Head of the Central VBS’s Social Charity Committee cum Chairman of the VBS’s executive committee in Hai Phong city.

During the visits, while extending Lunar New Year greetings to the Buddhist leaders and all members of the VBS chapters in Nam Dinh and Hai Phong, Vice Chairwoman Trần Thị Minh Nga praised their practical contributions for social charities and socio-economic development of the country over the past years.

She also expressed hope that the two Buddhist dignitaries would continue promoting their role in guiding the VBS chapters for further development, well observance of the Party’s guidelines and the State’s policies and laws, and proactive engagement in patriotic emulation movements launched by the local authorities in the coming time.

The leaders of the VBS chapters in Nam Dinh and Hai Phong took the chance to thank the GCRA for its due attention and support extended to Buddhist affairs of the VBS chapters over the past years, and pledged to continue accompanying the nation and contributing more for socio-economic development of the country.
