Vice Chairwoman of the Government Committee for Religious Affairs (GCRA) Trần Thị Minh Nga paid a visit on December 19 to the Evangelical Church of Viet Nam (Southern) in Ho Chi Minh city ahead of Christmas 2020.
The GCRA Chairwoman, accompanied by Director of GCRA’s Protestant Affairs Department Thiều Thị Hương was welcomed by Pastor President of the evangelical church Thái Phước Trường.
During the visiting reception, while extending a merry Christmas 2020 and happy New Year 2021 to dignitaries and all members of the evangelical church, Vice Chairwoman Trần Thị Minh Nga spoke highly of practical contributions made by the evangelical church in social, charitable works and the Covid-19 epidemic prevention over the past year.
She also expressed hope that dignitaries of the evangelical church would continue guiding members of the church to promote fine traditions and stay closely with the local authorities for socio-economic development in the country.
Pastor President Thái Phước Trường took the chance to thank the GCRA for its due attentions and supports extended to religious affairs of the church over the past years and extended New Year greetings to the GCRA’s officials and staff.
