The Government Committee for Religious Affairs (GCRA) held on December 13 a meeting with representatives of Protestant churches in Ho Chi Minh City ahead of the Christmas festival 2017.
Attending the meeting included Chairman of the GCRA Vũ Chiến Thắng, GCRA’s Vice Chairman Trần Tấn Hùng and Acting Director of GCRA’s Department of Protestant Affairs Thiều Thị Hương.
Protestant representatives at the meeting included Pastor President of the ECVN (South) Thái Phước Trường, Pastor President of the Vietnam General Baptist Church (Grace Southern) Lê Quốc Huy, Pastor President of the Vietnam Adventist Church Trần Thanh Truyện, Pastor President of the Vietnam Seventh-day Adventist Church Đinh Thiên Tứ, Pastor President of the Vietnam Mennonite Church Huỳnh Đình Nghĩa, Pastor Chairman of Vietnam Presbyterian Church Điểu Bôi, Pastor President of the Vietnam Baptist Church Nguyễn Võ Khánh Giám, Pastor General Superintendent of the Vienam Assemblies of God Dương Thành Lâm and over 30 other pastors from the eight Protestant churches .
During the meeting, Chairman Vũ Chiến Thắng extended Christmas greetings to Protestant dignitaries, deacons and followers, as well as spoke highly of the contributions of Protestant dignitaries, deacons and followers to the cause of national construction and development.
