The Government Committee for Religious Affairs (GCRA) formally announced the establishment of a steering board for the implementation the law on belief and religion and relating legal documents at a meeting held on February 22.
The meeting was attended by Vice Chairmen of the GCRA Bùi Thanh Hà and Dương Ngọc Tấn, representatives of GCRA’s departments and divisions and members of the steering board.
According to the establishment decision, the steering board consists of 11 members and is headed by Vice Chairman Bùi Thanh Hà.
Speaking at the meeting, Vice Chairman Bùi Thanh Hà asked members of the steering board to actively guide authorities in localities and religious organizations for consistently implementing the law and the government decree No.162/2017/ND-CP on detailing a number of articles and providing measures for the implementation of the new religious law.
