The Government Committee for Religious Affairs (GCRA) and Ben Tre provincial People’s Committee co-organized on August 14–15 a conference for disseminating religious laws to local officials and key followers of religions.
The event saw the participation of Vice Chairman of the Government Committee for Religious Affairs Trần Tấn Hùng, Director of Home Affairs Department Huỳnh Minh Hiếu and about 250 participants who are cadres tasked with the State administration for religious affairs and followers of religious organizations in the province.
The two-day conference taking place in Ben Tre province covered topics on current religious life in Vietnam, State policies and laws on religion, religion-related laws on housing and land, and new contents of the Law on Belief and Religion passed by the National Assembly in November last year that will take effect on January 1, 2018.
