The Government Committee for Religious Affairs (GCRA) held a meeting to congratulate the 1,978th anniversary of the Trung Sisters’ Uprising and the 108th anniversary of International Women’s Day on March 8.
The event saw the participation of Deputy Minister of Home Affairs Nguyễn Trọng Thừa, Chairman of the GCRA Vũ Chiến Thắng, representatives from the GCRA’s departments and all women of the GCRA.
While extending best wishes to all women of the GCRA on the Women Day, Deputy Minister Nguyễn Trọng Thừa praised practical contributions made by the GCRA’s women in the state administration on religious affairs.
During the meeting, delegates recalled the history of the international women’s day and the uprising of Trung Sisters regarded and honored as female national heroes for their struggle against the Chinese domination
On the occasion, the GCRA’s Trade Union and Board for the advancement of women invited experts to provide consultations on health care to all women of the GCRA.
