GCRA Chairman extends Christmas greetings to Vietnam Conference of Major Superiors of Religious

Chairman of the Government Committee for Religious Affairs (GCRA) Vũ Chiến Thắng paid on December 12 a Christmas visit to the Vietnam Conference of Major Superiors of Religious based in Ba Lua Parish in Binh Duong province.
The Chairman was accompanied by Vice Chairman of the GCRA Dương Ngọc Tấn and representatives from the provincial authorities, and welcomed by Priest General Provincial of Silesians of Don Bosco of Vietnam cum President of the conference of Major Superiors of Religious Nguyễn Văn Quang.
During the visit, Chairman Vũ Chiến Thắng wished superiors of Catholic congregations and orders as well as Catholic followers of Ba Lua Parish a merry and happy Christmas.
The Chairman also highlighted activities in the field of social charity, health and education of the Catholic congregations and orders over the past years, and called on the council to promote its bridging role between Catholic orders and local authorities in Vietnam, and proactively take part in social, charitable programs and movements.
