GCRA appraises project on Buddhist Ashrama in Viet Nam

The Scientific Council under the Government Committee for Religious Affairs (GCRA) held on December 27 a meeting to evaluate final results of a project on Buddhist Ashrama in Viet Nam.

The meeting was chaired by Chairman of the GCRA Vũ Chiến Thắng and attended by members of the GCRA’s appraisal council and scientific council, the project management board and representatives from the GCRA’s departments.

The project investigated for the first time the practice of the Buddhist Ashrama in Viet Nam. Results of the project contributed to provide an overview of the Buddhist Ashrama and recommended policies to the Vietnam Buddhist Sangha and the state’s administration on Buddhism.
