Evangelical Church (North) extends Tet greetings to GCRA

Pastor President of the Evangelical Church of Vietnam (North) (ECVN) Nguyễn Hữu Mạc paid on January 15 a visit to the Government Committee for Religious Affairs (GCRA) ahead of Lunar New Year 2019.

Chairman of the GCRA Vũ Chiến Thắng and representatives of the GCRA's Office and Department of Protestant Affairs welcomed the ECVN delegation.

During the visit, Pastor President Nguyễn Hữu Mạc extended Tet greetings to GCRA’s officials and staff, and took the chance to thank the GCRA for creating favorable conditions for the church’s activities in 2018. According to the Pastor President, dignitaries, deacons and followers of the Protestant church feel encouraged by due attention and support extended by the GCRA to the church’s dignitaries and followers on occasion of important events such as Christmas.

Chairman Vũ Chiến Thắng thanked the ECVN delegation visit ahead of the Vietnam traditional New Year 2019 and shared with the guests outstanding achievements of the GCRA and the state governance on belief and religion in 2018, including two Protestant organizations granted the operation registration certificate since the Law on Belief and Religion took effect on January 1, 2018.

While praising the Protestant church for its social contributions, the GCRA Chairman affirmed that the GCRA always stands ready to share and become a constant companion of religious organizations, contributing to well perform tasks of religious affairs. Chairman Vũ Chiến Thắng wished the Pastor President, pastors of the Protestant delegation, Protestant locality-based churches and communities and all followers of the church a happy and successful New Year 2019.
