The Government Committee for Religious Affairs (GCRA) in collaboration with the People’s Committee in Lai Chau province opened on August 29 a program for disseminating laws on belief and religion to key religious followers in the province.
Present at the program’s opening ceremony were Director of the GCRA’s Legislation and Inspection Department Nguyễn Thị Định, Vice Chairman of the province Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee Hoàng Kiều Anh, and Deputy Director of Home Affairs Department Mạc Quang Dũng, and nearly 500 key religious followers and representatives and the management board of belief worshipping places in the province.
The event covered key contents of the Party’s guidelines and the State’s policies and laws on belief and religion, including the Law on Belief and Religion and its guiding Decree, administrative procedures in the field of belief and religion, and other legal provisions relating belief and religion, etc. The program also provided discussions and explanation of practical issues relating to the implementation of Law on Belief and Religion in the province.
