Overview of disseminating conference

The event saw the presence of Vice Chairwoman of the GCRA Trần Thị Minh Nga, representatives from religious organizations of Buddhism, Catholicism, Caodaism, Hoa Hao Buddhism, Muslim, Buu Son Ky Huong Faith, Baha’i Faith, and Minh Su Theravada Buddhism in Da Nang city and provinces of Quang Nam and Quang Ngai.

Speaking at the event, Vice Chairwoman of the GCRA Trần Thị Minh Nga stated that the Party and State always consider OV as an inseparable part of the country and pay due attention to OV affairs, including the field of belief and religion, and create favorable conditions for religious practices by OV in the country.

The official expressed hope that local key religious dignitaries, relatives of OV, and concerning state authorities would further create favorable conditions for religious activities of OV, and promote patriotic traditions, national culture and ethical values, contributing to propagate the Party's and State's policies to religious communities and foreign organizations.

During the event, Director of the Culture Information Department of the State Committee for Overseas Vietnamese Affairs under the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Phạm Thị Kim Hoa informed guidelines, policies and results of OV affairs. She emphasized that OV communities have established religious associations, raised funds for building or repairing religious facilities and invited Vietnam religious dignitaries to guide religious practices. Vietnamese religious places aboard have as well become centers for gatherings of OV, contributing to preserve the national culture and teach Vietnamese language, etc.

Dr. Lê Thị Liên, Head of the GCRA’s Institute for Religious Policy Studies also shared about religious activities of OV, roles, positions and prestige of the OV community in host countries.
