The Government Committee for Religious Affairs in collaboration with Hai Phong municipal People’s Committee held on September 23-26 a program for disseminating laws on belief and religion, and introducing history and law subjects to religious dignitaries and deacons in the city.
Present at the program’s opening ceremony were Director of the GCRA’s Legislation and Inspection Department Nguyễn Thị Định, Director of the GCRA’s Institute for Religious Policy Studies Lê Thị Liên, Deputy Direction of the municipal Home Affairs Department Phạm Hồng Hà, Chairman of the municipal Religious Affairs Committee Dương Ngọc Anh, and about 400 dignitaries and deacons from religious organizations and establishments in the city.
The four-day course coved key contents of the Party’s guidelines and the State’s policies on belief and religion, the Law on Belief and Religion 2016 and its guiding decree, administrative procedures relating to belief and religion, and the teaching subjects of history and law of Vietnam in religious training establishments.
The program also provided discussion and explanations of practical issues relating the state policies and laws on belief and religion.
