A delegation of the Government Committee for Religious Affairs (GCRA) led by Director of Legislation and Inspection Department Nguyễn Khắc Huy met with Dien Bien provincial leaders on June 23.
According to a report at the meeting, Dien Bien province is home to 56,000 religious followers of Protestantism, Catholicism and Buddhism living in 84 communes under 438 villages in ten districts.
Over the years, religious practices in Dien Bien province have been conducted normally and on a stable basis. Religious dignitaries, deacons and followers well observed the Party’s policies and the State’s laws and contributed to strengthen social cohesion and religious harmony in local communities.
