Deputy Minister of Home Affairs Vũ Chiến Thắng and Archbishop of Hanoi Archdiocese Joseph Vũ Văn Thiên

The Deputy Minister accompanied Vice Chairman of the Government Committee for Religious Affairs (GCRA) Nguyễn Tiến Trọng and representatives of the Catholic Affairs Department under the GCRA was welcomed by Archbishop of Hanoi Archdiocese Joseph Vũ Văn Thiên.

At the visiting reception, Deputy Minister of Home Affairs Vũ Chiến Thắng extended Merry Christmas to Archbishop Joseph Vũ Văn Thiên and all priests, clergymen and clergywomen of the Archdiocese. 

While praising practical contributions of religious followers in general and Catholics in particular to the socio-economic development of the city, especially the Covid-19 prevention work, Deputy Minister Vũ Chiến Thắng expressed hope that the Archbishop and priests of Hanoi Archdioese would continue encouraging their Catholic followers in the Archdiocese to proactively participate in patriotic movements, contributing to build the prosperous city.

On the occasion, Deputy Minister Vũ Chiến Thắng presented the floral bouquets sent by Prime Minister Phạm Minh Chính and Head of the Party Central Committee's Organization Commission Trương Thị Mai to Archbishop Joseph Vũ Văn Thiên.
