On April 11, 2014, a delegation led by Mr. Phạm Dũng – Deputy Minister for Home Affairs, Chairman of the Government Committee for Religious Affairs (GCRA) visited Tiên Giang province’s Buddhism Executive Board (Vinh Trang pagoda)
At the reception, on behalf of the provincial Executive Board, Most Venerable Thích Huệ Minh – member of the Executive Council of the VBS, Head of the provincial Executive Board highly appreciated attentions given to Buddhism by leaders of Ministry of Home Affairs and the GCRA and shared about Buddhism situation in Tien Giang province, history of Vinh Trang pagoda and preparation works for the 2014 UN Vesak Day according to the Notification of the Executive Council of the VBS
On behalf of the delegation, Deputy Minister Phạm Dũng extended best wishes to monks, nuns and Buddhists on occasion of the 2014 UN Vesak Day and thanked the provincial Executive Board for its welcome and information about jubilant atmosphere of upcoming Vesak celebration in Tien Giang province.
