Deputy Minister of Home Affairs receives delegation of Caodai churches and organizations

Deputy Minister of Home Affairs Vũ Chiến Thắng on June 29 hosted a reception for a visiting delegation Caodai Churches and organizations led by Cardinal President of Minh Chon (Verity) Caodai Church Trần Đức Tăng.

Overview of the reception

Joining the reception included Vice Chairman of the Government Committee for Religious Affairs (GCRA) Nguyễn Ánh Chức, Chief of the Ministry of Home Affairs’ Office Vũ Đăng Minh and Director of the GCRA’s Caodai Affairs Department Nguyễn Phúc Nguyên.

Sharing with the host, leaders from the Caodai Churches and organizations briefed religious practices of Caodaism over the past years.They also informed that, thanks to favorable conditions of the Party, the State, the Ministry of Home Affairs and the Government Committee for Religious Affairs, the Caodai Churches and organizations have worked together in religious training and social charities. They also informed that during the Covid-19 pandemic, Caodai followers have strictly implemented preventive measures of the State, the Ministry of Health, guidances of the Ministry of Home Affairs and the GCRA, as well as contributed over 70 billion VND to social charities and Covid-19 prevention work.

For his part, Deputy Minister of Home Affairs Vũ Chiến Thắng spoke highly of practical contributions made by Caodai followers for national construction and defense. He also urged Caodai churches and organizations to promote their fine traditions, accompany with the nation, strengthen education and training work, organize training courses on religious tenets and state laws, as well as actively join patriotic movements and programs, contributing to building a prosperous and civilized country of Vietnam.
