A delegation from the Ministry of Home Affairs and the Government Committee for Religious Affairs (GCRA) led by Deputy Minister Vũ Chiến Thắng visited Hue Archdiocese on January 17, ahead of the traditional New Year (Tet) 2022.

The Deputy Minister accompanied Chairman of the GCRA Vũ Hoài Bắc, Director of the GCRA’s Catholic Affairs Department Đinh Quang Tiến and Director of the GCRA’s Buddhist Affairs Department Lê Minh Khánh was welcomed by Archbishop of Hue Archdiocese Joseph Nguyễn Chí Linh.
During the visiting reception, while extending Tet greetings to Archbishop Joseph Nguyễn Chí Linh, priests, clergies and lay Catholic followers in general and in Hue Archdiocese in particular, Deputy Minister of Home Affairs Vũ Chiến Thắng spoke highly of practical contributions made by Catholic dignitaries and lay followers in social movements and Covid-19 prevention work.
The Deputy Minister expressed hope that the Archbishop would continue guiding Catholic dignitaries, clergies and lay followers to proactively join social programs and movements launched by local authorities and well observe Covid-19 preventive measures guided by the Government, the Ministry of Health, the Ministry of Home Affairs, the GCRA, etc.
