Deputy Minister of Home Affairs Vũ Chiến Thắng paid on December 24 a visit to the Catholic Bishops’ Conference of Vietnam (CBCV) on occasion of Christmas 2020.
Priest Joseph Đào Nguyên Vũ, Chief of the CBCV’s Office in Ho Chi Minh city welcomed the Deputy Minister.
During the visit, Deputy Minister of Home Affairs Vũ Chiến Thắng extended merry Christmas to Priest Joseph Đào Nguyên Vũ and other priests and sisters of the CBCV’s office. He spoke highly of practical contributions made by Vietnam Catholic Church in general and the CBCV in particular in the Covid-19 prevention work and aids sent to local people seriously affected by floods in the central region.
He called on the CBCV to contribute more the cause of national construction and defense, as well as strictly implement Covid-19 preventive recommendations of the Health Ministry during the Christmas 2020.
On the occasion, Deputy Minister Vũ Chiến Thắng conveyed the floral bouquet sent by Prime Minister Nguyễn Xuân Phúc to the CBCV.

Earlier, on December 23, Deputy Minister Vũ Chiến Thắng visited and conveyed the floral arrangement sent by Prime Minister Nguyễn Xuân Phúc to Archbishop Joseph Nguyễn Năng of Ho Chi Minh city Archdiocese and presented the floral bouquet of the Government Committee for Religious Affairs to Bishop Joseph Đinh Đức Đạo of Xuan Loc diocese in Dong Nai province.
