On the occasion of the traditional Chol Chnam Thmay (New Year) festival of Khmer people, Mr. Phạm Dũng – Deputy Minister of Home Affairs, Chairman of the Government Committee for Religious Affairs (GCRA) visited and extended New Year wishes to Khmer Buddhists and people
On April 9, at Chantarangsay pagoda in Ho Chi Minh city, Mr. Phạm Dũng visited and congratulated Most Venerable Danh Nhưỡng, Deputy Patriarch cum legal Inspector of the Discernment Council and attended the New Year’s ceremony with Khmer people in the pagoda.
On Arpril from 10 to 11, 2014, Mr. Dũng also visited and extended New Year wishes to Most Venerable Dương Nhơn Deputy Patriarch of the Discernment Council, Vice Chairman of the Executive Council of the VBS and dignitaries and Khmer people in Soc Trang and Can Tho province
On occasion of New Year, Mr. Dũng extended best wishes to Khmer Buddhists and people in Mekong Delta River and expressed his hope that Khmer Buddhist dignitaries continue to serve the dharma as well as guide Buddhists in their social and spiritual life, strengthen the solidarity of people in regions, and make contributions the building and defense of the country.
