Delegation of Ministry of Home Affairs & Government Religious Committee pay working visit to Chile

A delegation from the Ministry of Home Affairs and the Government Committee for Religious Affairs (GCRA) led by Deputy Minister Vũ Chiến Thắng visited Chile on September 23-25.
Delegation meets with the National Office of Religious Affairs in Chile
The delegation included Chairman of the GCRA Vũ Hoài Bắc.
During the visit, the delegation visited and met with the National Office of Religious Affairs in Chile at the presidential palace; Vietnamese Ambassador to Chile Phạm Trường Giang; and Cardinal Celestino Aós Braco, Archbishop of Santiago de Chile Archdiocese cum President of the Catholic Bishops’ Conference of Chile.
During the meeting with the National Office of Religious Affairs in Chile at the presidential palace, Deputy Minister of Home Affairs Vũ Chiến Thắng shared about the religious harmony in Vietnam and contributions of religions for development in the country.
The Vietnamese Party and State have pursued consistent policies for ensuring religious freedom and equality, promoting cultural and ethical values of all religions and making use of resources created by religious dignitaries and followers to develop the country, he stated.
While exchanging with Cardinal Celestino Aós Braco at Santiago de Chile Archdiocese, Deputy Minister Vũ Chiến Thắng shared about the Catholic Church of Vietnam and the relationship between Vietnam and Vatican.
The Vietnam State highly appreciated practical contributions made by the Catholic Church of Vietnam over the past years, the Deputy Minister said.
