Dak Lak province: Government Religious Committee organizes Protestant training for key officials across the country

The Professional Training College under the Government Committee for Religious Affairs (GCRA) began on September 16 a training course on Protestantism in Buon Ma Thuot city.
Attending the training course’s opening ceremony included Vice Chairman of the GCRA Bùi Thanh Hà and Vice Chairwoman of Dak Lak provincial People’s Committee Mai Hoan Niê Kdăm and over course 150 participants.
The training participants were selected officials working on state religious affairs from 26 provinces and cities throughout the country, including Dien Bien, Lao Cai, Lai Chau, Tuyen Quang, Thai Nguyen, Son La, Ha Nam, Nam Đinh, Thai Binh, Nghe An, Thua Thien Hue, Phu Yên, Kon Tum, Gia Lai, Lam Đong, Đak Lâk, Binh Phưoc, Binh Dương, Binh Thuan, Đong Nai, Ba Ria – Vung Tau, Ho Chi Minh city, Long An, Soc Trang, An Giang and Can Tho.
During the training course, participants learnt about Protestantism, Protestant development in the Northwest, Central Highlands, Central Coastal provinces and results of the implementation of Directive No. 01 / CT-TTg of the Prime Minister on some tasks relating Protestantism…

Currently, Dak Lak province has four major operative religions, with followers accounting for 26% of local population, in which Protestants making up of about 30% of religious followers in the province with eight denominations, 46 chapters and 192 meeting groups.
The training course will close on September 19.
