Conference on religion for local officials across the country held

The Government Committee for Religious Affairs (GCRA) started on June 20 a national religious training course for key officials at provincial and district levels in Da Nang city.

Attending the opening ceremony included Chief Executive Vice Chairman of the GCRA Bùi Thanh Hà, Chairman of Da Nang city Committee for Religious Affairs Ngô Khôi, and about 180 officials at provincial and district levels across the country.

The training course aims to provide updated information on religious practices in Vietnam and practical issues, state policies and current draft law on belief and religion, international religious conflicts and impacts on the religious life and state administration on religious affairs in Vietnam, new religious phenomena, laws and issues on land and housing related to religion, etc.

Speaking at the opening ceremony, Chief Executive Vice Chairman of the GCRA Bùi Thanh Hà emphasized important roles that religion can play in the social life and pointed out current religious issues.

The training course will be held from June 20-23 and during the training course, the training participants will also have the chance to visit religious establishments in Da Nang city.
