Christian organizations extend pre-Tet visits to government religious committee

A delegation led by Priest President of the Central Committee for Solidarity of Vietnamese Catholics Joseph Trần Xuân Mạnh paid on January 16 a visit to the Government Committee for Religious Affairs (GCRA), ahead of Lunar New Year (Tet) 2023.

Vice Chairwoman of the GCRA Trần Thị Minh Nga welcomed the Catholic delegation.

During the reception, while extending Tet greetings to the GCRA’s leadership and staff of the GCRA, Priest Joseph Trần Xuân Mạnh informed the host about the national congress of the Vietnam Catholic Solidarity Committee to be held in 2023, and took the chance to thank the GCRA for its attention and supports extended to affairs of the Catholic solidarity committee in the past years.

Vice Chairwoman Trần Thị Minh Nga thanked the Vietnam Catholic Solidarity Committee for the pre-Tet visit, and expressed hope that the Catholic solidarity committee to continue upholding fine traditions, and encourage Catholic people to join local authorities in social and medical charities, contributing to the socio-economic development in the locality. She also wished successes to the upcoming national congress of the central solidarity committee.

On the same day, a delegation led by Pastor President of the Vietnam Christian Fellowship Church Huỳnh Huyền Vũ also visited and extended Tet greetings to the GCRA.

The Christian delegation was welcomed by Vice Chairman of the GCRA Nguyễn Tiến Trọng.
