A delegation from Cham Islamic communities in the provinces and cities visited and extended congratulations to new Chairman of the Government Committee for Religious Affairs (GCRA) Vũ Chiến Thắng on September 27.
The delegation was led by Chairman of the Representative Committee of the Islamic Community in Ninh Thuan province Thành Thanh Tâm.
During the visiting reception, Mr. Thành Thanh Tâm also took the chance to share with the GCRA’s new leader activities of Cham Islamic communities over the past years.
Chairman Vũ Chiến Thắng thanked the delegation for the visit and congratulation, and praised Cham Islamic communities for their contributions to socio-economic development in the country over the past years. He also expressed hope that when the Law on Belief and Religion and related Decrees come into effect in 2018, members of Cham Islamic communities would set good examples in observing in the new law and further proactively join in patriotic movements and charitable activities.
