Chairman of the Government Committee for Religious Affairs (GCRA) Vũ Hoài Bắc received on January 18 a delegation of Hung Hoa Diocese led by Bishop Dominic Hoàng Minh Tiến on occasion of the upcoming Lunar New Year (Tet) 2023.
At the reception, while extending Tet greetings to the GCRA leader, officials and staff, Bishop Dominic Hoàng Minh Tiến thanked the government religious committee for its support and guidance extended to the Catholic Church in Vietnam in general and Hung Hoa Diocese in particular, over the past years.
In exchange with the guests, Chairman Vũ Hoài Bắc spoke highly of practical contributions in social charities made by Hung Hoa Diocese, and asked the diocese bishop and priests to continue motivating lay Catholics to uphold fine traditions and proactively join local authorities in social movements launched for boosting sustainable development in the home country.
The GCRA leader also took the chance to thank Bishop Dominic Hoàng Minh Tiến for his pre-Tet visit and extend a new year of peace and God’s blessings to C Catholic dignitaries and laypeople of Hung Hoa Diocese.
