Cardinal Peter Nguyễn Văn Nhơn, Archbishop of Hanoi, led a delegation to visit the Government Committee for Religious Affairs (GCRA) on February 01 ahead of Lunar New Year (Tet) 2018.
The cardinal was welcomed by GCRA’s Vice Chairman Dương Ngọc Tấn at the committee’s headquarters in Hanoi.
Speaking during the visit meeting, while extending Tet greetings to all GCRA’s officials and staff, Cardinal Peter Nguyễn Văn Nhơn took the chance to thank the government religious committee for creating favorable conditions for practices of Catholicism in Hanoi Archdiocese over the past years.
On behalf of the GCRA’s leadership, Vice Chairman Dương Ngọc Tấn thanked the Archbishop of Hanoi for his visit and Tet wishes. He also praised cordial relations between the Catholic church and state authorities at administrative levels, and called on Catholic dignitaries and followers to make further contributions for the development in the city.

Earlier on the same day, Bishop of Lang Son Cosme Hoàng Văn Đạt also met with Vice Chairman Dương Ngọc Tấn at the GCRA office during his visit to the government religious committee on occasion of the Lunar New Year Festival./.
