The Vietnam Buddist Sangha (VBS)’s delegation on November 30 paid a visit to the Government Committee for Religious Affairs (GCRA) after the success of its 8th national congress.
The delegation led by Most Venerable Vice President of the VBS's Executive Council Thích Thanh Nhiễu was welcomed by Chairman of the GCRA Vũ Chiến Thắng and Vice Chairman of the GCRA Bùi Thanh Hà.
During the reception, Most Venerable Thích Thanh Nhiễu informed the hosts results of the VBS’s national congress held in Hanoi on November 19-22, as well thanked the GCRA for its support extended to the VBS’s 8th congress.
Speaking at the reception, while extending congratulations to the Vietnam Buddhist Sangha (VBS)’s, Chairman of the GRA Vũ Chiến Thắng expressed hope that the VBS in the 2017-2022 term will work to encourage monks, nuns and followers to uphold fine traditions of unity, actively participate in emulation movements and further contribute to the country development.
