Zero-VND minimarket launched at Buddhist pagoda in Ho Chi Minh city

The ‘Zero-VND Happy Minimarket’ has been launched on April 21 in Vinh Nghiem pagoda  located in  district 3 of Ho Chi Minh city for supporting the disadvantaged having been affected by the Covid-19 pandemic.  

The market was sponsored by the social charity board under the executive committee of the Vietnam Buddhist Sangha’s  chapter in Ho Chi Minh city in collaboration with the municipal Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee, APEC Group, Buddhists and donors.

The minimarket have three main stalls offering food, clothing and books, and visitors will be free to pick five various products (including rice, sugar, salt, cooking oil, medicine, clothes, etc) not exceeding 100,000 VND in value and twice per month.

The zero happy market will last for one month (from April 21 to May 21) and open from Monday to Friday, from 8:30 am to 11h30 am and 1:30 pm to 5pm. Every Saturday, people can come for exchange of books and get some bread in the program “book sandwiches”.
