On October 18, the Van Mieu - Quoc Tu Giam Culture and Science Centre informed that the Centre in collaboration with Venerable Thich Đức Hạnh – Abbot of Ngau pagoda has entirely transferred worshipping projects and artifacts from Kim Chau mound to Ngau pagoda in Thanh Tri district’s Tam Hiep commune.
The Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism and Hanoi municipal People's Committee have assigned the relevant units to carry out the project of restoring Phuong Dinh building and embellishing Kim Chau mound under Van Lake in Van Mieu - Quoc Tu Giam.
In order to implement this project, the Van Mieu - Quoc Tu Giam Culture and Science Centre on October 14 has listed worshiping objects, statues and artifacts in Kim Chau mound before transferring in order to ensure the construction site clearance.
Upon a consultation with the city Committee for Religious affairs, the Van Mieu - Quoc Tu Giam Culture and Science Centre has sent a written request to Venerable Thích Đức Hạnh, Vice Chairman of the Vietnam Buddhist Sangha’s Executive Board, Abbot of Ngau pagoda (Tam Hiep commune, Thanh Tri district) for help receiving worshiping objects and artifacts on Kim Chau mound. After that, Venerable Thích Đức Hạnh performed worshipping rites and completed the transfer of worshiping objects and artifacts from Kim Chau mound to Ngau pagoda.
