Religious women sign commitments to classify waste at their families

The model aims to raise awareness and responsibility of religious women members and local residents in collecting and classifying waste and sewage in order to reduce waste in surrounding.

As part of the model, religious women signed commitments to classify waste, as well as was guided in the process of classification of organic and inorganic waste

At the launching of model, the Women association in the district presented chairs, desks, speakers, television, sport equipments, green facilities, and trash cans to religious women members, and gifts to children with difficulty circumstances in Dien Sanh town, worth nearly 95 million VND in total.

Meanwhile, the women association in Hai Hung commune of Hai Lang district also established a similar model promoting religious women’s participation in environment protection and new rural development in Thuan Chanh An village with the registration of 60 members and religious women in the locality.

On the occasion, the women association in the commune has presented 268 trash cans and plastic baskets to all members in the locality in order to help local women to sort waste and limit the use of plastic bags in households.
