Tan An Thanh Caodai parish solemnly held a ceremony to inaugurate its Divine Mother Shrine in Binh Tam district, Vinh Long province on March 16.
Attending the ceremony were Cardinal Thượng Tám Thanh, President of the Tay Ninh Caodai Church, representatives from provincial Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee and local authorities of Binh Tan district, Tan An Thanh commune and Vinh Long province, and about 1,000 dignitaries, deacons and followers from the parishes under the Tay Ninh Caodai Church inside and outside the locality.
Tan An Thanh parish was established in the early 1930s, but without a worshipping facility for worshipping the Divine Mother. In 1998, the parish built the new Divine Mother Shrine by temporary materials and this Shrine degraded after over 10 years of existence.
