Vietnam Seventh-day Adventist Church presents support packages to people affected by Covid-19 pandemic in Ho Chi Minh city

In the ongoing complicated developments of the Covid-19 pandemic in Ho Chi Minh city, the Vietnam Seventh-day Adventist Church have successful raised donations for supporting people affected by the pandemic in the city.
On July 30, through the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee (VFF) in Phuoc Binh ward of Thu Duc city, Phuoc Binh Seventh-day Adventist Church presented 1.5 tons of rice and 150 boxes of noodles to 150 working families in boarding houses, disadvantaged households in the lockdown areas in the locality.

In ward 1, Phu Nhuan district, the Vietnam Seventh-day Adventist Church and its Phu Nhuan chapter, in collaboration with VFF in the ward, have presented 164 sets of necessities, each containing 10 kg of rice and a box of noodle, to three residential areas, people in the isolation areas and 40 poor households in the ward.
Meanwhile, in order to help the Chinese community in the area, the Vietnam Seventh-day Adventist Church has coordinated with its Cho Lon chapter to present 1.8 tons of rice and 183 boxes of instant noodles to the poor, people in the lockdown areas and followers of the Cho Lon chapter church.
The support packages of the Seventh-day Adventist Church have been transported to locations by means of local authorities for better implementing measures for Covid-19 epidemic prevention.
Pastor Trần Thanh Truyện, President of the Seventh-day Adventist Church informed that during the recent epidemic outbreak, the Church has presented 13 tons of rice and 770 boxes of instant noodles to poor households, the elders, households in the isolation areas. In the coming time, the Church will continue presenting support supplies to people affected by the pandemic in the city, stated the Pastor.
